Food and Drink - Au Café
This teaching pack has been prepared for you to download and print and use in your classroom. It is designed to teach vocabulary by using flashcards for students to repeat after the teacher, play games with the vocabulary and have some fun. There are teacher notes provided to help explain the intention of each activity. There are vocabulary sheets for students, battleships and cruisers games to get the students building sentences, there is a pair work activity for students to gain language practice, a guided dialogue to help model how to order in a café, a café menu to stimulate language use and a reading text which can be used as an assessment and even as more practice afterwards. |

La Place des Grands Hommes (teaching pack) - free sample
La Place des Grands Hommes is a great song for students to look at future plans, friendship, time passing as well as revise or learn the imperfect, conditional, future and perfect tenses. Set in Paris, a planned 10-year anniversary school reunion is where friends meet up. Teacher notes include suggested activities and links to the song and a nostalgia clip explaining the background of the song. |

Parce qu'on vient de loin (teaching pack) - free sample
Parce qu’on vient de loin is a fabulous song to introduce the topic of Immigration and la Francophonie. Corneille shot to fame in the early 2000s and is known for his deep-thinking lyrics and RAP. His story is tragic, yet he has moved through trauma by writing and singing songs. Born in Germany to Rwandan parents, he spent his childhood in Rwanda where his father was a political figure. He fled to Europe as a refugee and is now a Canadian. Teacher notes include suggested activities and have links to interviews with Corneille with some questions and answers provided. You can also reduce the speed of the interview on YouTube. We hope you enjoy using these as much as we enjoyed creating them. |

Les sons a -z
9 separate powerpoints to introduce students to the French sounds of each letter of the alphabet. Each powerpoint covers 2 to 3 sounds and has 11 to 17 interactive slides with native speaker audio. Each sound is presented individually with a selection of foundational vocabulary items to assist learners to practise the sound in context. Each power point includes a selection of consolidation activities: listen & repeat, selecting words with the target sound, identifying the target sounds in words, joining syllables to make words. These powerpoints can be purchased individually or as a full set to cover the whole alphabet. Perfect for teacher instruction or for individual students. |

The files are in .ppt format, you will have read-only access in order to access present mode and the interactive elements of the presentation.
